Talk About... How We Feel

In this set of 32 clear photo cards, the same four children – two girls and two boys – are pictured showing the following emotions: happy, cross, surprised, sad, confused, frightened, bored, and disgusted.

Each photograph has been carefully taken in the same setting so that the only variable is the emotion shown. This is very helpful for focussing children on exactly the aspect of language you are trying to develop, especially as many children, particularly those with Autism Spectrum disorders, struggle to interpret non-verbal communication and need support to recognise and name feelings. These are vital social skills, as well as important aspects of spoken language.

The set includes 32 photo cards, activity ideas and a CD-ROM with the card images in formats that can be displayed on screen or printed. Key vocabulary is shown on the backs of the cards in English and Spanish to help English language learners.
